When I am not working, I am shooting. Capturing the world through my lens is my passion. I attribute my instinct to seek out and chronicle the aesthetic sublime to the influence that my father, Dennis Chalkin, has had on me. He never goes anywhere without his camera and, in recent years, I've found that I'm also helplessly attached to mine.

This will be the space where I upload new series of photos, new video clips, posts about my everyday life on and off the job, and my general creative stream-of-consciousness. Join me as I experience life through my lens.

This weekend my brother Max and I took a road trip out to Columbus, Ohio to visit our cousins and go to the NCAA March Madness tournament. As he drove I couldn't help but keep my camera off the open road.
